WELCOME to the POP CREATION CARE WEB SITE

This WEBSITE has been CONSOLIDATED into the InterFaith Creation Care South Metro (ICCSM) website as of 2/2022 found at http://iccsmtc.blogspot.com/ .  Please check it out for updated Information on our group.

We have a moral responsibility to be good stewards of God's creation.

The Earth was here before us and entrusted to us as a gift.
What kind of world do we want to leave those who come after us, to the children who are now growing up?  Human beings, while capable of the worst, are also capable of rising above ourselves.  Climate change is a message that something is wrong.  You and I can choose what is good, a better path.  Utilizing energy efficiently, using safe and clean energy, doing everything possible to protect and renew the natural resources that sustain us will bring out the best in us.  We need to be better stewards of creation and walk more gently on His earth.

The POP Creation Care Group recognizes our responsibility as stewards to care for God's creation.  We act on our role in restoring the earth for our children and generations to come and hope you will join us.

We encourage you to click on the page links found on the right side of this page to learn about Creation Care at Prince of Peace.  Each of these links will take you to a separate page of information that we hope you will enjoy and learn from and be inspired by.

  7. At least Curt and I can find each other on this blog! Ramping up the time spent on the retreat. Found volunteers for two of the jobs we wanted to delegate, and hoping for more helpers as people do get registered.

In other news, Chris, Sharon Pappendick and I went to a screening of the movie DISRUPTION last night. We all came away from it humbled again by the facts. It was mainly about the need to organize and get people into the streets on Sept. 21. They are hoping for a LOT of people and hope to bring action by just being there, kind of like the march on Washington for civil rights. Sure wish the US would be a leader in this movement. We are holding back the whole world by dragging our feet on these issues!

  8. It sounds like the movie was well worth the time and the trip into Minneapolis. I am glad Sharon was able to join you. I wish I could have gone but schedule did not allow for that night. I noticed the time also. I will have to check that out maybe with Shawn.
